Privacy Policy

The short version: We collect only what we need to build and deliver your site. We don't sell your data. We don't track you across the internet. No ad pixels, no creepy stuff.

What we collect

When you submit the quiz on 50buckswebsite.com, we receive whatever you typed into it. That can include:

Your name and email address — so we can send you the files and an invoice.
Business details you provide — business name, location, what you do, your story, contact info, social links, brand colors, vibe selection.
Photos and logos you upload — used to build your site, that's it.
Plain-English tweaks you type into the preview tweak box.

We also collect basic technical information automatically: the IP address you connect from, your browser/device type, and which pages you visited. This is standard web server logging and is used for security and debugging.

What we don't collect

We don't ask for your phone number.
We don't ask for your home address.
We don't ask for payment information directly — invoicing happens through a third-party processor (see below).
We don't use advertising trackers, Facebook Pixel, or similar surveillance tools.

How we use what we collect

To build your website — the entire reason you submitted it.
To email your finished files within 24 hours.
To send you an invoice for $50 (plus any extra pages).
To reply to you if you contact us with questions or revision requests.

That's the whole list. We don't add you to a mailing list. We don't share your story with anyone. We don't use your business in marketing without explicitly asking you first.

Third parties we use

We use a small number of services to make the business run:

Email hosting (for hi@50buckswebsite.com) — to send and receive messages.
A payment processor (Stripe or similar) — to invoice you. Your card information goes directly to them; we never see or store it.
File hosting — your finished website files may temporarily live on a file-hosting service so we can send you a download link.
Privacy-respecting analytics (like Plausible or Cloudflare Web Analytics) — to count page views. No cookies, no fingerprinting.

How long we keep your data

We keep your quiz submissions and project files for 90 days after delivery, in case you come back with a question or need a re-send. After that, we delete the working copies. We may keep invoice records longer for tax and accounting reasons (typically 7 years, as required by law).

Your rights

Email hi@50buckswebsite.com and we'll:

Tell you exactly what we have on file for you.
Correct anything that's wrong.
Delete your data on request (we may need to keep invoice records as noted above).

If you're in the EU/UK and want to invoke GDPR rights, or in California and want to invoke CCPA rights, the same email gets you the same result.

Cookies

The marketing site uses one local-storage entry to remember your quiz progress so you don't lose it if you close the tab. That's it. No tracking cookies.

Children

This service isn't intended for anyone under 16. We don't knowingly collect information from minors.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, the "Last updated" date at the top will change. Material changes will also be flagged on the homepage for at least 30 days.
